Vintage 1990 Black & White Magic Melbourne Limited Edition

The 'Magic Melbourne' Map was first published in 1990

Back in the late 80's, over 7000 research photographs were taken, many from a hot air balloon, and countless thousands of hours spent illustrating from a suburban backyard garage.

If you're old enough, cast your mind back to a time where there was no digital technology or google maps and you may appreciate the enormity of such a project.

The distinct biplane flying the flag for Melbourne spans across the skyline. The plane was later removed, so this is the only version in which it features.
